The Monster that I will never Forget

I was walking by myself to my dorm in October 2021 when I encountered the ugliest moment ever in my life.  This happened on a Monday at 3:00 pm just after classes. That day was chilly and windy. As I walked through the snow, I was shivering. This was the longest ten minutes walk of my life. The incident occurred when I was just about to enter my dorm. I was aware that my life would be drastically altered the moment it happens. My existence had been altered forever. I have never seen anything so uglier in my life than what I just saw.

The monster had eight legs, was hairy, was six feet tall, had a shark's face, and a skunk's tail. It also had jellyfish-like tendrils. I couldn't figure out what I needed to do. It was blocking my path, and I was alone. In a circumstance like this, I did the only thing I could think of that a man could do. I screamed like a child and raced in the other direction of the creature. Because he was evil, the monster had no choice but to follow me. I sprinted to my West Campus dorm. The door wouldn't open when I got there. Ugly Betty was right behind me when I checked behind and she breathed a bad breath. There was no doubt that I was trapped, and the monster also knew it and nothing could be done about it.

Turning around, the beast was ready to spray me with the nasty skunk spray. When he sprayed, the spray was about to squirt me until a powerful gust of wind blew it back and hit the monster in the face.  I knew I had no other choice but to run for my life since the monster could not see. My second choice was the other door, so I ran to it and got in and then I knew that I was safe from the monster. I didn’t care about how it disappeared or where it headed to after leaving it outside, all I knew was that I was safe. I breathed a sigh of relief when I retired to bed that evening knowing that I was safe at last. Indeed, it was the strangest day ever.
