Introduction 

Solidarity is one of the fundamental human needs that is crucial for the survival of people globally. The modern moral philosophers have found means of describing solidarity in the current environment which translates to a well-established routine (Gaztambide-Fernández, 2020). Similarly, solidarity has been used frequently in political scenarios to promote unity among the people. On the contrary, some authors have used theories to describe solidarity.  According to Dean, (1996) solidarity can be defined based on several theories. One key framework is the critical social theory which maintains that solidarity is about reciprocal practice. In other words, reciprocity is considered the base of solidarity when one is capable of giving life to another person. Currently, one key project that has focused on solidarity is the pep talk which is an online platform that is used to pass various encouraging messages to young people. Peptoc art project was established by two teachers namely Jessica Martin and artist Asherah Weiss. The project started in West Side Elementary school in Healdsburg, California. The first impression of Peptoc was the creation of posters and flyers drawings that are charming. The project also adopted an online platform that has gone viral offering word of encouragement among the users. Therefore, the current essay's main focus is an analysis of the Peptoc project. 

Solidarity 

Solidarity is a way by which people realize better output and develop the efficient cognitive capability to understand each situation (Todd, (2009). Peptalk has been identified as one of the key tools that have been used to achieve solidarity especially when an individual undergoes emotional instability. Another description similar to the one mentioned above is by author Gaztambide-Fernández, (2012) that implied solidarity as a cohesive element that is vital in any group or society. Therefore, Peptalk has focused on achieving solidarity by identifying various group through the creation of messages that align with the issues that one experience. Additionally, Peptoc has managed to develop an online platform that offers encouraging messages to various people depending on their experiences or feelings. The categorization of the message sector within the online platform help achieve solidarity due to content tailoring to match the audience’s need. Additionally, solidarity is considered a cohesive structure that helps shape the feelings and emotions of people in society. Peptoc has identified the impressive impact of solidarity by relaying encouraging messages to specific people. Coincidentally, Peptoc’s main intentions are standing in for one another as a way of showing support to the people. Children have become a core part of Peptoc online platforms where one provides advice and information regarding the need of every user. Peptoc has managed to provide solidarity through the messages that are passed by the children offering a wide range of actions that one can take to remain positive in life. The solidarity aspect of the Peptoc is also evident through the posting of flyers within the environment. Most of the student's creative work is used to post messages that are encouraging to the audience. 

The creative work of students has been directed to Peptoc projects where stressed individuals have managed to find solace. The project's main aim is to target individuals that are experiencing difficulty in life and hence, require emotional encouragement which helps stabilize their existence and survival. As mentioned by Todd, (2009), solidarity teaching may rely on factors such as education. Therefore, teaching solidarity is about intention, relationship, and action grounded based on political dedication and explicit ethics. Similarly, solidarity is all about how people come together, especially during the period when emotional stability is stretched. Peptoc project has managed to focus on providing support to various people through the appropriate means which require identification of the type of help that a person needs. Solidarity is all about how people come together, therefore, Peptoc has managed to bring people that are undergoing various issues and establish a platform that one can get rid of the negative energy. Peptoc has managed to understand and develop a relationship with others based on each person's situation. Peptoc is all about confronting an issue that affects people across the globe which shows how the project is based on achieving solidarity despite the issues that one is undergoing. Author Wynter (2003), mentioned that solidarity is a key factor that is not necessarily mutual which means that one can achieve it without getting assistance or incentive from the other party. Coincidentally, Peptoc main focus is providing solidarity to people that are facing challenges in their lives through the online platform. The essence of communication is about sharing and providing ways of controlling the emotional distress that people experience in their daily lives. Solidarity is an essential part of social cohesion that has been in place for a long time. Peptoc project found better ways of reaching people without having physical contact with the victims. The platform has also provided other racial platforms where one can access the content through other languages. The main intention is to cover some of the popular languages globally for ease of access to potential users. In essence, solidarity is about the responsibility of every person to ensure that every person lives and experiences better life choices. Peptic is responsible for offering emotional support through messages and words of encouragement.  

Intention 

Peptic is a public art project that comprises student motivational flyers that can be accessed by people within the surrounding school environment. The project's main intention was the creation of flyers that contain messages that help control and promote positive feelings among the people. According to Chouliaraki, (2011), the viability of any solidarity project is based on the capability to influence the perception of the people targeted with the message. The project was mainly focused on offering life advice to the people within the surrounding environment due to economic and environmental factors that are popular globally. The motivational flyers are used to improve the emotional condition of the people that may be experiencing life challenges in various aspects. The student focused on making the fliers that contain encouraging messages that exist in form of tear-off tabs at the bottom. The messages provided relief for people that are undergoing stressful conditions at a particular time. In other words, the Peptoc provided solutions to people that are facing emotional breakdowns and are more likely to give up in life. The availability of flyers within the community in places like the grocery stores and telephone poles allowed ease of access among the people. The Peptoc shows that people could access the information within the surrounding environment without relying on the online platform. Another intention of Peptoc is to reach people that are far from the school location. The project intention was about providing motivational messages to the relevant people within the accessible environment. Peptoc influence increased significantly after the introduction of an online platform that allowed users to access content without visiting the areas where flyers have been posted. Peptoc intended to reach people across the globe to promote solidarity in difficult situations that one may experience. Author Sandoval (2000), stated that solidarity involves the social bond of a group which means that collective reliability. The idea of Peptoc being available within the online platform was about collective reliability where encouraging messages are made available to the potential users. Peptoc online platform was developed on consideration of factors such as language where other races have also been considered. Calling the hotline is essential because one can access encouraging messages from a group of resilient children. The hotline creation was crucial for accessing most of the potential users that were not within the school community surrounding environment. Due to technological advancement, calling a new hotline provided an opportunity for people to access motivational content that has been recorded with kindergarten children. The whole process is about information reliance that could reach people based in remote areas with uplifting mantras. Another Peptoc intention is to provide advice to the appropriate audience. The kids aged 5-12 provided life advice through the Peptoc to encourage the people that almost gave up in life due to unavoidable circumstances. Peptoc main intention was to offer emotional support through the advice where children are mandated with passing the message through the call. The hotline number that was developed for Peptoc was shared online which quickly became a viral thing leading to a large number of callers. The main purpose of advising the kids is to ensure that people maintain joy and optimism despite unfavourable conditions. The Peptoc flyers and hotline platform allows every person to get advice about life matters which may affect how one relates with others. The world media has also played role in covering the project where the children's voices and messages have resulted in joy and inspiration among the people. The life advice that has been offered by Peptoc is crucial for achieving a happy life among the people that are considered as the audience. The whole process of the peptic hotline has been influential during the pandemic period where people could find advice and hence, peace because of the messages passed.   

Aim 

The main aim of Peptoc is to relieve stress among the people that are facing life issues but lack the appropriate way of accessing advice. The process was created as a way of improving and maintaining community happiness through inspiration. According to Wynter, (2003), solidarity is essential for human well-being and flourishing. Peptoc main solidarity was based on the people that are undergoing emotional meltdown and lack words of encouragement which plays a crucial role in the realization of happiness. Solidarity explores the concept of us which translate to being considered as part of the group or movement which was evident in Peptoc decisions. Solidarity is about believing and thinking like specific people which was the idea pushed by the existence of Peptoc as the children enlighten others. The moral duty of solidarity is working together for the benefit of others (Dean, 1996). Solidarity is based on ignoring the difference and political conflicts that may exist among various people. As such, Peptoc main intention was to achieve a better understanding without paying attention to the political difference among the people. 

Strength  

Peptoc hotline implementation has managed to provide motivational access across the globe. One of the strengths of the project is the ability of users to access the content remotely. The project allowed people from various regions to access inspirational content through the hotline that cost a few dollars. Peptoc allowed users to access the content through the major media channels that are available across the world. Solidarity achievement means that one does not have a personal relationship with those that one takes action on behalf them (Sandoval, 2000). Peptoc project managed to pass the crucial message to people in various regions through the online platform which makes it one of its strengths. Another strength of Peptoc is the capability of providing information without discrimination. Peptoc project has existed over a short period but managed to penetrate various regions and access people without any discrimination. The whole project is based on passing crucial information to the people that are going through the hard times. As mentioned by Gaztambide-Fernández, (2020), any crisis impact cannot be equal among different people which means that provision of a solidarity platform can play a significant role in achieving unity and enhancing resilience. Peptoc project is mainly to develop a strong sense of solidarity by offering special content in other languages.   

Weaknesses 

Contrary to the strengths mentioned above, one of the weaknesses of the Peptoc project is the volume of hotline contacts that are received within a day. The launch of the online platform provided an opportunity for people to access the content remotely. The hotline has received calls in thousands which led to some Peptoc numbers crashing. Only some calls are going through while others fail to penetrate due to the high number of calls from other people that pose a challenge to the audience access. The project requires the addition of other contacts to help manage the high number of people accessing the platform for advice. The weakness also lowers the productivity of the content as some may fail to access the appropriate information. 

Another weakness that is linked to the project is the lack of one on one encounter that is always crucial when giving advice. The whole process is based on the use of flyers and the hotline contact. Encouraging words and advice can be achieved through physical interaction which may not be possible when handling the cases through the online platform. The hotline number of Peptoc was shared through social media while the whole process is based on audio and the use of notes which lower the possibility of physical contact. The whole process should be improved to achieve the efficiency that is crucial for better maintenance of joy and optimism. 

Implementation and take away 

Implementation 

Peptoc was developed to offer encouragement to sad people. The elementary school student provides callers with advice about life issues that may lead to negative outcomes. The project started through the use of flyers which were made available within the community. The flyers were visible in the shopping centres and electricity posts providing encouraging statements and words to the population around. The whole project was implemented through the phases where the first involved making available the flyers within areas where people can access them easily. Universal solidarity proposes that every human should work closely and ensure moral duty for the benefit of all (Todd, 2009). The project implementation was to ensure that people experienced love and encouragement through the flyers which showed information about upholding hope for a better tomorrow. Solidarity does not focus on the conflict between the needs and values of various groups. The project implementation is based on the use of flyers in the early stages to pass information within the community. All the drawings and flyers that the kindergarten students created were posted purposely in areas that can be accessed by various people. The next implementation process that the project adopted is focusing on the online platform where the information was made available to every person that had an interest in developing a personal relationship with strangers. The project developed an online platform where information can be shared by making a call to the contacts that are outlined. The project adopted the idea of providing an encouraging statement to the people that could not access the flyers due to long distances. In other words, the existence of hotline contact and access to major media channels provided an opportunity for the project to reach people in remote areas. As mentioned by Gaztambide-Fernández, (2020), humans have developed ways of recognizing each other pain and can achieve solidarity in the appropriate ways. Kindergarten kids have identified ways in which people suffer and hence, developed ways that can improve their moods based on the existing information. The project implementation involved two main steps that may be improved in the future due to innovation and adjustment. The movement's popularity has gone viral which requires the adoption of new approaches to achieve positivity. 

Take away 

Project Peptoc is one of the movements that has risen within a few months to reach a global audience. The project's success is based on re ability of the founders to relate to the everyday touch and experience that people go through. The founders focused on the social settings of the environment to make appropriate encouragement platforms that exist. The project involved several steps that help develop into a movement across the globe. Founders identified the missing links within the society to develop ways in which people can benefit when solidarity is achieved. The whole process requires access to information and adopting an appropriate channel to share the content which results in a positive reaction among the targeted audience. Author Todd, (2009), identified that a strong sense of solidarity is a vital aspect of the advancement of values within the society. The founders paid attention to the sense of offering hope and encouragement through the content sharing which consequently pushed agenda and values that relate to the existing situations. Solidarity is about intention which was applied appropriately to decide that the project founders considered. The project implementation required the founders to consider various communication aspects before making any significant move. Solidarity allows one to think and believe like others which led to offering encouraging messages by the kindergarten kids. Peptoc allowed the sharing of information based on the capability of accessing the experience of others to tap the emotional discomfort. Another take ways that can be identified from the Peptoc project is the period in which the movement originated. Currently, the world is considered to be in a dark setting because of the various issues that occur ranging from pandemics to wars which affect the economic and social welfare of the people. Timing is a crucial factor when promoting solidarity where the majority will pay close attention when the process is appropriate. Solidarity has been a core part of any social movement before which makes Peptoc rely on the existing foundations to reach many people. The idea of solidarity is what it means to be ‘‘us’’ which means that spiritual commitment to other people's experiences is key to realizing the project ideals. Peptoc emergence aligned with the actions and issues in the globe that cast darkness and hence, can be considered as an opportunity for the encouragement. 

Conclusion 

In summary, solidarity is the major factor that has existed in various forms depending on the intention. Solidarity is mainly upheld to advance certain values within the society that Peptoc project has focused on ensuring that people access content that is considered encouraging to the society. The project has managed to go viral across the globe with major media platforms showing the impact it has on society. The hotline contact has become popular among users because of the social media platform that has encouraged information sharing. The hotline provides an opportunity for people to listen to the innocent young voices that exist within our societies as a way of encouragement especially when one is feeling frustrated. The project started with the use of flyers and then evolved into an online platform. The project intends to reach people across the globe while encouraging the platform. The main weakness identified is the lack of enough contact systems that can be made available for people to access the message.
